The Iowa Breast Cancer Resource Guide is a free publication written and printed by Iowa Breast Cancer Edu-action (IBCE). The Guide resulted from IBCE members, mostly women living with breast cancer, talking what would been helpful to them when diagnosed. After hundreds of phone calls throughout the state, they gathered together as much information as possible and put it into one book.
Information in the Guide includes: breast centers, treatment centers, support services, insurance information, terminology, statistics, and much more. IBCE’s goal is to have them available in surgeons’ offices so women will be given one at the time of diagnosis.
