In December 2010, the Beyond Pink TEAM received an email from a young woman named Anna who wanted to donate her 13th Birthday money to our organization. For her birthday, she asked her family and friends to help women with breast cancer, and they donated $350.00!
I asked Anna how she came up with this idea. She said she had been donating since she was in 2nd grade. She told her parents she didn’t want presents at her birthday party with her friends, and her parents helped her find an organization to donate to.
Anna’s birthday donation will help pay medical bills for a woman with breast cancer. Thank you, Anna, for your concern for women with breast cancer. You are a special young woman!
